CLAREMONT, CA: Grant Frazier‘s selection for the John Zinda Award headlined a trio of Sagehens that received All-SCIAC honors, tying the program mark for the most players on the all-league team since 2012.
Senior Grant Frazier became the sixth consecutive Sagehen to win the prestigious John Zinda Award given each year to a senior who best combines achievement in athletics, academics, leadership and sportsmanship. Along with Senior Brett Harper and Sophomore Aseal Birir, the trio of offensive players were all named to the second team after leading Pomona-Pitzer to its highest finish among SCIAC teams in total offense since 2010.

Frazier followed up his 2014 1st Team All-SCIAC Accolades with another impressive season in the trenches for the Sagehens that saw him 2nd Team honors. The 2015 USA College Football Preseason 1st Team All-American becomes the second offensive lineman (James Lambert – 2011) to receive the John Zinda Award during the Sagehens’ unprecedented six year run. A Philosophy, Politics, and Economics major at Pomona College, Frazier has highly active during his summers completing internships at top firms in the fields of Healthcare IT (Gordian Dynamics – 2015), communications and public relations (the Abernathy MacGregor Group – 2014) and law (Rutan & Tucker, LLP – 2013). Additionally, Frazier earned Beach City Service League’s “Commander Award” for 60+ hours of community service and is a member of the Claremont Christian Athletes.
